The next document in the Fries/Zipser file is a handwritten report dated November 24, 1981 on a meeting between IMB “Pedro Hagen” and his Stasi-handler Gerhard Hoffmann that took place on November 20, 1981 in Neuhaus. There is an amusing reference to me in the final paragraph: “The IM handed over for usage a publication he had received from Dr. Zipser: Contemporary East German Poetry. A Special Issue of Field. Published by Oberlin College. Oberlin, Ohio, 1980. This is an anthology of GDR poetry with a foreword by the editor, Zipser. The book contains a personal dedication that is going to be saved photographically, so it can be evaluated operatively.”
